This trip was the highlight of my summer canyoneering adventures. It was in a canyon that is in a Research Natural Area in the park that can only be accessed by park employees for specific research purposes or other researchers. I went with a member of our wildlife staff looking for birds in the canyon. I will not describe any more for fear of giving out any current beta but will post some pictures.
On the way out, we ran into a guy that had destroyed his patella tendon in the Narrows. So I hiked to the trailhead, met up with the SAR van, hiked back and helped to raft him out.
